Window and Door Services in DFW

Professional Window and Door Services

Better Fit. Cleaner Finish.

Windows and doors connect your home to the outdoors while helping manage weather, comfort, privacy, and security. When an opening is difficult to operate, shows damaged trim, lets in drafts, or simply no longer fits the room's style, Hank's can help with installation, replacement, sealing, and finish carpentry across Dallas-Fort Worth.

We look at the complete opening, including the unit, frame, sill or threshold, casing, hardware, and surrounding finish. That whole-opening approach helps us address fit and appearance together instead of treating trim, operation, and weather protection as unrelated tasks.

Openings Need More Than Good Looks

A replacement product can still perform poorly if the opening is out of square, the surrounding wood is damaged, clearances are wrong, or sealing is incomplete. Hank's checks visible conditions and measurements before finalizing the work. If water damage or movement changes the recommended scope, we explain the issue before installation.

Trained, background-checked employees protect your home, keep you informed, and finish the approved trim and hardware details with care. The completed scope is supported by the Hank's Home Guarantee, so you have a dependable team accountable for communication, workmanship, and the final result.

Window and Door Project Options

From the Opening to the Trim

Hank's can help replace or install select windows and doors, update interior or exterior casing, repair sills and surrounding wood, improve weatherstripping, and install compatible hardware or screens. We also handle the drywall, caulk, trim, and paint details included in the approved scope so the opening looks finished.

Repair may be practical when the main unit remains sound and the problem is limited to hardware, trim, or sealing. Significant warping, failed components, recurring water entry, or broad deterioration may favor replacement. We explain the options and measurements before work begins so the solution fits both the opening and the goal.

Tips From Our Pros

Signs an Opening Needs Attention

Drafts and Stains Tell a Story

Look for daylight around a closed door, peeling caulk, cracked trim, soft wood, water stains, difficult operation, rattling, or condensation where it did not occur before. Drafts around the frame may be related to weatherstripping, sealing between the jamb and framing, alignment, or deterioration. Fogging between sealed glass panes usually points to the glass unit rather than surface humidity.

Do not seal over damp or soft material without finding the moisture source. Water can enter above or beside an opening and appear somewhere else. A useful repair starts with understanding whether the problem is the unit, its installation, the surrounding finish, or water traveling from another location.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common Windows & Doors questions.

  • Many alignment, hardware, trim, sill, threshold, weatherstripping, and localized frame problems can be repaired. Replacement may be the better value when the unit is severely warped, rotted, damaged, inefficient, or no longer operates safely.

  • Yes. Weatherstripping seals moving components, while caulk closes suitable stationary joints around frames and trim. Those improvements cannot correct failed insulated glass, severe frame damage, missing flashing, or larger gaps caused by movement.

  • Usually, if the unit is correctly sized and compatible with the opening, wall, trim, swing, and hardware. Provide product specifications and accurate photos before scheduling so the team can identify missing parts or fit concerns before installation day.

  • They can be included when needed, but installation packages and existing conditions vary. Your quote will identify whether casing, sill or threshold work, caulk, drywall repair, primer, paint, or disposal is part of the approved scope.
