Ceiling Fan and Light Installation in DFW

Ceiling Fan and Light Fixture Installation

Comfort and Light, Installed Carefully

A new ceiling fan or light fixture can change how a room feels, but overhead installations depend on suitable support, compatible wiring, correct assembly, and careful alignment. Hank's provides ceiling fan and light fixture installation in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for approved replacement projects and compatible existing locations.

We review the product, ceiling height, electrical box, controls, mounting hardware, and visible condition before installation. The fixture is assembled and mounted according to its requirements, then checked for secure attachment, normal operation, and the clean final position you expect.

Trusted Fan and Fixture Installers

Overhead Support Is Not Optional

An ordinary light box is not automatically suitable for the weight and movement of a ceiling fan. Heavy fixtures may also need support beyond a standard box. Hank's checks the visible support and product requirements before proceeding and identifies conditions that require box, wiring, or specialist work beyond the approved installation scope.

Our trained, background-checked employees protect the room, communicate clearly, and test the completed installation. The approved work is backed by the Hank's Home Guarantee, giving you a dependable team focused on both the visible finish and the support above it.

Fan and Light Installation Options

Refresh the Fixture, Keep the Room Moving

Hank's can replace compatible ceiling fans and light fixtures, assemble blades and light kits, install approved downrods, align canopies, set up included remotes, and address minor balance issues within the project scope. We can also install pendants, chandeliers, and flush-mount fixtures where the existing location and support are appropriate.

New circuits, concealed wiring changes, unsafe electrical conditions, or work requiring a licensed electrical specialist must be addressed appropriately before or as part of the project. We do not force a new product onto an unsuitable box or connection just to say the installation is complete.

Schedule Fan or Light Installation

Tips From Our Pros

Check the Ceiling Support First

A Fan-Rated Box Is Different

Ceiling fans create movement and repeated loading that a standard light-fixture box may not be designed to carry. The support should be identified for fan use or connected to suitable structural framing according to the installation requirements. Heavy chandeliers and other fixtures also need support rated for their weight.

Keep the product instructions and all included brackets, screws, controls, and downrods together. Note whether the existing fan wobbles, the box moves, or the ceiling shows cracking around the canopy. Those clues should be evaluated before the new fixture is mounted, not after it begins to move.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common Ceiling Fans & Light Fixtures questions.

  • Often, if the electrical box, wiring, controls, clearances, and new fixture are compatible and in suitable condition. Damaged wiring, missing support, a new location, or a major electrical change may require a different scope or licensed electrical work.

  • A fan creates movement and repeated load that an ordinary light-duty box may not be designed to carry. The mounting box and surrounding structure must be suitable for fan support before the unit is assembled and operated.

  • Possibly. Ceiling height, slope, fixture weight, ladder placement, room access, downrod or adapter requirements, and safe working clearance must be reviewed. Provide photos and measurements so Hank’s can confirm the right approach.

  • The team can check blade placement, fasteners, balance, mounting, and visible support. A damaged blade, bent component, unsuitable box, loose structure, or failing motor may require replacement or a broader correction.
