Anchor Tip-Prone Furniture
Tall dressers, bookcases, cabinets, and other top-heavy pieces can tip if climbed on, pulled, or loaded unevenly. Follow the manufacturer's anchoring instructions and install the supplied restraint promptly, especially in homes with children. Place heavier items lower when practical and avoid putting tempting objects where a child may climb to reach them.
The restraint must connect to both the furniture and an appropriate wall attachment using compatible hardware. Product recalls can also affect restraint kits, so retain model and purchase information. A fully assembled piece should still be evaluated for level, stability, and required wall anchoring before regular use.
